Free on Roblox's side
Roblox Studio, the official editor, downloads for free on Windows and Mac. Creating a place, testing it, publishing it and making it public costs nothing. Free Creator Store models, server hosting and your game's updates are handled by Roblox. You can even monetise your game without paying anything upfront.
Free on Builblox's side
The account is free. As soon as you sign up, you can describe your game in the chat and receive a full plan in steps, without paying: that is already a real game design, with the title, the art direction and the systems listed.
Building inside Studio spends credits, and there are two ways to get some for free.

What the free credits allow
Credits pay for the AI's work: a small fix costs few, a complete game more, and the chosen model changes the rate. With the offered credits you can run a first simple build, watch the scripts, parts and GUI land in your place, and judge for yourself. Your balance is always shown in the workshop, and nothing is charged unless you start a step.
What is paid, plainly
To build regularly you need a plan. Starter costs €15.90 a month with 1,600 credits, Pro €49 and Studio €189, with a monthly allowance that renews and extra purchasable credits that never expire. Pro and Studio add frontier models, all of TrackBlox, 3D models and your own API key. Yearly billing is far cheaper per month, and you cancel whenever you want.
The 100% free route
It exists and it is honest: learning Studio and Luau on your own, with Roblox's documentation and tutorials. It costs time, weeks for a first complete game, and it teaches a lot. Builblox is for those who have the idea and not the weeks. You can also mix: a free Builblox plan as a roadmap, then build it yourself.
